BA BSc G.Dip CertAc MBAcC
Acupunturist & Body Works
Duncan has always been interested in healing and Eastern thought for as long as he can remember, which has led him to study Taiji and which culminated in a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Lancaster University.
Further study in TCM Acupuncture at the University of Westminster School of Integrated Health, which is a BSc course endorsed by the BAcC (British Acupuncture Council) has qualified him to practise.
Since completing that qualification, further development seemed of benefit to his clients. He therefore also gained a graduate diploma in Therapeutic Bodywork (A form of deep tissue Massage).
This has been a fascinating and rewarding journey and has proven very useful in dealing with peoples physical problems, as well as the mental and emotional issues often tied in with them.
Duncan then took the opportunity to study Acupuncture and moxibustion in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sichuan province. He stayed on and took intensive training in Tui Na Massage at their outpatient clinic.
Duncan is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC), the NHS register of complementary and alternative therapists and the British Register of Complemetary practitioners. It is advised that you find a practitioner who is a member of the BAcC to ensure that they have completed the requisite training to be safe and effective, follow the codes of practice and conduct and are committed to continuing professional development.
Duncan works in Fulham and London Bridge.
